Summary
The Shyft DAO is launching an Ambassador Program. The purpose of this is to decentralize the protocol further, invigorate the community, and delegate responsibilities to grow the Shyft ecosystem. The Ambassador’s roles and responsibilities will grow and evolve pending the needs of the Shyft DAO and the quality of the Ambassadors’ contributions.
This proposal seeks to gain consensus among the Shyft community around what a Shyft community leader should represent and how they would function within the DAO. Additionally, the proposal seeks to identify and select suitable candidates for the Ambassador position.
Motivation
Ambassadors will receive privileges and rewards within the Shyft community for their work. The frequency and nature of the rewards are determined by the DAO Marketing & Community Committee.
Potential rewards for the Shyft community ambassadors include SHFT token rewards, Shyft branded merchandise, access to gated discord discussions, bounties for organizing or participating in events, and more. The Ambassador Program seeks to align the motivations of the Shyft community and the protocol; hence the DAO treasury resources are to be strategically allocated to fuel the program.
Proposal - Request for funds
The Ambassador Program is designed to organically enhance our community health, engagement, and growth through various community and user-led activities and incentives.
The main pillars of activities/tasks in our Ambassador Program are focused on:
Content - Ranging from creating original content in the form of short-form videos to blogs, art, and Twitter threads.
Growth - Tasks to help us spread the word about Shyft on social media and its global reach.
Organization - Mentoring new ambassadors and moderating the Discord and Telegram channels through initiating various events, games, and cool activities to cultivate a fun and engaging environment.
Anyone looking to participate in the program may do so and is not limited to any particular pillar. Each and every participant will be a great asset to the DAO and deserves to be recognized for their contributions.
In order for the DAO to facilitate the Ambassador Program, the Marketing & Community Committee is requesting a budget of 300,000 SHFT tokens and $31,400 USD for 3 months to fully align the community with incentives to participate in the proposed exercise.
Feedback Period
The feedback process begins now and is expected to end at 17:00 UTC on 04/02/2023.
After this, a Snapshot vote is expected to be put up at 17:00 UTC on 05/02/2023 if there is sufficient interest and support for the proposal from the community.
